             abstract = "The transition region between Amazon and Savanna in Maranh{\~a}o 
                         state is characterized by high climatic variability. The objective 
                         of this work was to evaluate the accuracy of TRMM data in the 
                         transition region between the Cerrado (Brazilian Savanna) and 
                         Amazon in Maranh{\~a}o state. The accuracy of the TRMM data 
                         showed high variability as well as climate variability of the 
                         region studied. In regions with higher annual rainfall, the 
                         accuracy increases as well as increases the tendency to 
                         overestimate precipitation.",
